Creative desserts, made with a great deal of technique and with many of them inspired by the personal experiences of the confectioners themselves have played the leading role in the third year of this competition promoted by Lactalis Food Service Iberia.
Pastry making and artisanal ice-cream making have returned to the stage in the Multi-purpose Hall at #REALEMF20 with the creations produced by the Young Spanish pastry chefs who are taking part in the third Lactalis Foodservice Iberia “Share your talent” competition, which once again is showing its commitment to pastry-making talents.
On this occasion, Cristina Gómez Manarel de Amonalola (Izarra, Álava), won first prize. Behind her, Juan Carlos Moraes de Souza (Gran Bahía Khun) ended up second, and Pachi Larrea, from Sweet Drops (Barcelona) came third.
The jury, made up of renowned personalities from the world of pastry making and gastronomy such as Paco Torreblanca (president), Davis Pallás, Puy Vélez, Angelines González or Fernando Sáenz, has assessed the taste, aesthetic quality, originality and technical level of the creations. The winners take home a cash prize worth 3,000€, 2,000€ and 1,000€, depending on their position on the podium. The Pastry-making/Catering Schools that the three winners belong to, will also receive the same prize money as their students, to be invested in developing their installations or equipment.
